Mr. Donald William Voris, age 71, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on January 16, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the loving son of the late, Cassius Claytus & Beulah Mae (Morellion) Voris. He was raised in Rising Sun, Indiana, where he was a 1959 graduate of Rising Sun High School. Donald was united in marriage on April 20, 1962, at the Mount Sterling Baptist Church in Mount Sterling, Indiana, to Gertrude Hughes & to this union arrived two sons & two daughters to bless their home. Donald & Gertrude shared 50 years of marriage together until his death on December 31, 2012. Donald was an independent truck driver which was his life & love, for 43 years. He was a former employee at the Schenley & Seagram's Distilleries in Lawrenceburg, Indiana & was employed for McAlister Construction, for several years. On June 16, 1987, Donald became a member of the Cross Plains Church of Christ in Cross Plains, Indiana. Donald will be remembered for his love of working on automobiles & trucks & taking care of his family & grandchildren. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend. Donald died at 3:30 pm, Monday, December 31, 2012, at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Donald will be missed by his wife of 50 years: Gertrude (Hughes) Voris of Vevay, IN; his sons: Glenn William Voris & his wife: Pam of East Enterprise, IN; Michael Lynn Voris & his wife: Connie of Vevay, IN; his daughters: Mary Skaggs & her husband: Cecil of Vevay, IN; Kelly M. Fitzner & her husband: Scott of Appomattox, VA; his grandchildren: William, Richard, Rebekah, Brady, Deanna, Joseph, Stephen, Jonathen, Timothy, Brandon, Rachel, Rebecca, Adam & Nicholas; his great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Abgail, Avalee & Henry; his brother: Terry Voris of Madison, IN; his sisters: Crystal Peters of Vevay, IN; Nannana Dunn of Madison, IN; his several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Cassius Claytus & Beulah Mae (Morellion) Voris; his great-niece: Jessica King.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 4, 2013, at 1:00 pm, by Bro. Logan Fugate, at the Cross Plains Church of Christ, 2462 E. County Road 1050 South Cross Plains, Indiana 47017. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery, Cross Plains, Indiana
