Mrs. Mary Charlotte (Sullivan) Earls, age 86, of Mount Sterling, Indiana, entered this life on March 18, 1929, in Vevay, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Clarence A. & Minnie (Lothridge) Sullivan. She was raised in Vevay, Indiana and was a 1947 graduate of Vevay High School. Mary was united in marriage on October 25, 1947 in Carrollton, Kentucky, to the late, Norman William Earls. Mary and Norman shared nearly 59 years of marriage together until his death on December 3, 2006. Mary was a former employee for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, for several years. Mary was a former Janitor for the Jeff-Craig Elementary School in Vevay, Indiana, retiring after 10 years of service. She was a member of the Mount Sterling Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School for many years. Mary will be remembered for her love of fishing, socializing with her family and friends, gardening, canning and babysitting for many years. Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother and dear friend and will be missed by her community. Mary died at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 23, 2015, at her residence in Mount Sterling, Indiana.

Earls & his wife: Diane of Versailles, IN; her daughter-in-law: Sharon Earls of Salem, IN; her grandchildren: Anna Earls, Cheryle Peelman, Chrissy Hildebrand & her husband: Keith & Amanda Asbury & her husband: James; her great-grandchildren: Jacey Peelman, Nathan Hildebrand, Lauren Hildebrand, Bryce Asbury & Gage Asbury & her several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence A. & Minnie (Lothridge) Sullivan; her husband: Norman William Earls, died December 3, 2006; her daughter: Violet Earls, died May 7, 1953; her son: David Lee "Butch" Earls, died June 12, 1999; her brother: Lee Sullivan; her half-brothers: Joe Sexton & Ernest Sexton; her half-sisters: Golda Browning, Martha Bell Bosaw & Anna Marie Sexton.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 1:00 pm, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
