Mr. Jerry S. Aldred, age 70, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on May 6, 1944, in Vevay, Indiana, the loving son of the late, Raymond Aldred & Ella Juanita (Walston) Harsin. He was raised in Vevay, Indiana, where he attended school. Jerry was united in marriage on January 20, 1990, in Warsaw, Kentucky, to Deborah Ann "Debbie" Shackleford. Jerry & Debbie shared 25 years of marriage together until his death. In his younger years of life, Jerry was a Mechanic for Ford Garage in Vevay, Indiana, for several years. He was an employee for Steadman's Foundry in Aurora, Indiana. Jerry was a former Maintenance Supervisor for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, for 33 years until it closed. Jerry resided all of his life in the Vevay community. Jerry will be remembered for his love of hunting & fishing. Jerry will be dearly missed by his loving family, friends and his faithful beagle companion Rex. Jerry died at 7:55 pm, Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Indiana.

Jerry will be missed by his loving wife of 25 years: Deborah Ann "Debbie" Aldred of Vevay, IN; his daughter: Michelle Barrett & her husband: Brian of Vevay, IN; his sons: Craig Aldred of Walton, KY, Chris Aldred & his wife: Kim of Cincinnati, OH & Dusty Hunt & his wife: Misty of Florence, IN; his grandchildren: Kyle Whitham, Andrea Aldred, Tesla Aldred, Brittany Aldred, Candace Nunnemaker, Kristin Nunnemaker & Katy Nunnemaker; his great-grandchildren: Malikai, Morgan, Marley, Aimee, Max & Caleb; his brother: Vassel Harsin of Dupont, IN; his sister: Rhonda Spicer of Dupont, IN & his several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father: Raymond Aldred; his step-father & his mother: Shirley & Ella Juanita (Walston) Harsin; his sister: Juanita Faye Aldred; his brother: Gaylon Harsin; his aunt that helped raise Jerry: Eliza Rebecca Walston.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 1:00 pm, by Mike Simpson, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
