Mrs. Sheena Alaine (Perry) Yocum, age 56, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on June 27, 1959 in Carrollton, Kentucky, the daughter of the late, Wilbur Barnett and Betty Jane (Brooks) Perry. She was raised in Prestonville, Kentucky where she attended school. Sheena was united in marriage on June 30, 2000 in Worthville, Kentucky to Darrell D. Yocum, Sr. Sheena and Darrell shared 15 loving years of marriage together until her death. She was employed for Belterra Casino & Resort as a deckhand, retiring in 2014 after 11 years of service. She resided in the Vevay community for the past 15 years. Sheena was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Bear Branch, Indiana. Sheena enjoyed being with her grandchildren and taking care of them. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed riding motorcycles and socializing with her family and friends. Sheena was a devoted wife, loving mom, mamaw, sister and aunt. Sheena passed away at 8:17 pm, Friday, October 2, 2015, at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Sheena will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 15 years: Darrell D. Yocum, Sr. of Vevay, IN; her daughters: Angel M. Back & her husband: Justin of Vevay, IN, Heather M. Johnson & her husband: Matt of Florence, IN, & Savannah N. Kurtz of Vevay, IN; her step-sons: Darrell D. Yocum, Jr. & his wife: Rachel of Florence, IN & Christopher Norman Yocum & his fiancée: Trudy Fields of Vevay, IN; her step-daughter: Kimberly Gail Yandell of Gordon, TX; her grandchildren: Tyler, Taylor, Miley, Mason, Maria, Christopher, Emma, Charlie, Austin, Alex, Brooklyn, Makenzie, Emma, Cheyenne & Brailee; her great-granddaughter: Paxton; her sisters: Ruthie Hoopengarner of Carrollton, KY, Susie Jester of Panacea, FL, Debbie Gilbert of Elizabeth City, NC & Kerry McKinney of Owen County, KY; her brothers: Barney Perry of Florence, IN, Andy Perry of Milton, KY, Tracey Perry of Carrollton, KY & Tom Eddie Burgin of Carrollton, KY & her numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Wilbur Barnett & Betty Jane (Brooks) Perry; her 1st husband: James Michael Kurtz; her step-daughter: April Michelle Yocum & her sister: Connie Mae Scudder.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 8, 2015, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Patrick Lanman, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
