Mr. Michael Wayne "Mike" Lewis, age 62, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on December 31, 1952, in Madison, Indiana, the son of the late, Louis Bradley and Helen Louise (Wright) Lewis. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana where he attended the Vevay High School. Michael was united in marriage on January 5, 1973, in Madison, Indiana, to Wanda Hunt and to this union arrived a son, Glen and a daughter, Crystal to bless their home. Michael was a former construction worker for Lloyd Mason from the age of 17 to 1991 and was a former heavy equipment operator for Mason & Mefford in Madison, Indiana. He resided in the Switzerland County community most of his life where he enjoyed farming with his Father. In his early years of life, Michael attended the Mt. Zion Nazarene Church in Vevay, Indiana. He was a member of the Truth Apostolic Church in Vevay, Indiana and the Operators Union #181 in Louisville, Kentucky. He enjoyed taking his kids fishing, tinkering on equipment, playing bingo and puzzle books. Michael passed away at 7:30 am, Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Michael will be missed by his son: Glen Allen Lewis of Madison, IN; his daughter: Crystal Marie Youngblood of Madison, IN; his sisters: Martha Lewis of Moorefield, IN, Betty Lock of Moorefield, IN & Mary Palmer of Rushville, IN; his brother: Pee Wee Lewis of Tell City, IN; his grandchildren: Tyler Lewis, William Combest II., Katlyn Fohrman & Joseph Biehle; his great-grandson: Waylon Lewis & his several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Louis Bradley & Helen Louise (Wright) Lewis; his sister: Elma Louise Lewis; his nephew: Dana Ray Jones & his niece: Jamie Lynn Harlow.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 1:00 pm, by Bro. Anthony Wilks, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison, Indiana.
