Mrs. Hazel Lecclere (Keith) Knaus, age 88, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on March 3, 1928, on a farm on Shiloh Road in Allensville, Indiana, the daughter of the late, James Wilford and Avis O. (Chase) Keith. She was raised in Switzerland County where she attended high school. Hazel was united in marriage on December 24, 1946, in Vevay, Indiana, to Norman Dick Knaus and to this union arrived a daughter, Lisa and three sons, Paul, Barry and Dennis to bless their home. Hazel and Norman shared nearly 61 years of marriage together until Norman passed away on June 3, 2007. Hazel was employed as a Fancy Stitcher for US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana for 5 years. She was employed as a Plastic Molder for the Plastic Molding Factory from September 1975 to 1989. Hazel was also employed for Belterra Casino & Resort as a Housekeeper for 2 years. Hazel resided on Popcorn Ridge for the past 57 years. Hazel enjoyed her monthly visits to Columbus, Indiana to visit with her lifelong and dear friend, Flossie Lock. Hazel also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and word finds, cooking, watching game shows, IU Basketball, Cincinnati Red's and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hazel passed away at 11:56 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the residence of her son in Vevay, Indiana

Hazel will be missed by her daughter: Lisa Knaus & her companion: Jimmy Jackson of Hanover, IN; her sons: Paul Knaus of Center Square, IN, Barry Knaus & his companion: Donna Graham of Vevay, IN & Dennis Knaus & his wife: Lorie of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren: Nicholas Knaus & his wife: Kasia of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Jordan Knaus & his companion: Ashley of Manchester, IN, Brandon Knaus of East Enterprise, IN, Zachary Knaus & his wife: Brittany of Battle Creek, MI, BJ Miller of Vevay, IN, Josh Wentworth & his companion: Richelle of Kalamazoo, MI & Zachary Wentworth of White Pigeon, MI; her great-grandchildren: Ava, Easton, Jayden, Jake, Broox, Daniel, Cole & Olivia; her sisters: Juanita Koons of Palmyra, IN & Sarah McCreary of Allensville, IN; her brothers: Jonas Keith of Florence, IN & Roy "Red" Keith & his wife: Barbara of Vevay, IN; her sister-in-laws: Martha Keith of Center Square, IN & Ruth Ann Keith of Dillsboro, IN & her several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James Wilford & Avis O. (Chase) Keith; her husband of nearly 61 years: Norman Dick Knaus, died June 3, 2007; her brothers: Denver, Albert Wayne, Hubert Wesley, Kirby, Paul Dean, Clifford, Leon, Wilford "Junior" & Larry Keith; one infant brother & one infant sister.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 11:00 am, by Rev. Wayne Daugherty, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
