Mrs. Ruth Carolyn (Wiley) Rariden, age 89, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on February 24, 1927, in Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of the late, Leslie Benjamin and Grace (Faux) Wiley. She was raised in Anderson, Indiana where she was a 1944 graduate of Anderson High School. Ruth was united in marriage on December 24, 1944, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late, Robert Sterling Rariden and to this union arrived two daughters, Julia and Leslie to bless their home. Ruth and Robert shared 67 years of marriage together until Robert passed away in 2011. Ruth owned and operated Ruth's Fabric Store in Anderson, Indiana, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Anderson Church of the Brethren in Anderson, Indiana. Ruth resided in the Vevay community for the past five years. Ruth passed away at 8:45 am, Monday, December 19, 2016, in Vevay, Indiana.

Ruth will be dearly missed by her daughter: Julia Kay Wright and her husband: Bob of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren: Molly Wright and her fiancé: Travis Webster of Rising Sun, IN and Matthew Wiley of Cleveland, TN; her great-grandchildren: Buffi Hatfield, Nicole Wiley, William Smith, Giuliana Smith, Travis Webster, Jr. and Krosley Webster and her several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Leslie Benjamin and Grace (Faux) Wiley; her husband of 67 years: Robert Sterling Rariden; her daughter: Leslie Carol Wiley; her grandchildren: B.J. Wright and Collin Wright; her brothers: Fred, Marvin, Joe, Robert and Tom Wiley and her sisters: Virginia Hervey and Mary Nye.
