Mrs. Johnniee Lee Katherine (Hibbard) Salyers, age 72, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on March 23, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of, Raligh Hibbard, whom preceded her in death and Betty Lou (Carr) Hibbard-Biehl. She was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana where she attended school. Johnniee was united in marriage on September 11, 1998, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Michael Curtis Salyers. Johnniee and Michael shared nearly 19 years of marriage together until her death. Johnniee earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree in California and was employed as a Charge Nurse for the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana, retiring in 2015, after 8 years of service. Johnniee served 45 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She resided in the Switzerland County community for the past 10 years. Johnniee passed away at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 10, 2017, at her residence in Florence, Indiana.

Johnniee will be dearly missed by her husband: Michael Curtis Salyers of Florence, IN; her mother: Betty Lou (Carr) Hibbard-Biehl of Penntown, IN and her sister: Nancy Collins of Sunman, IN.

She was preceded in death by her father: Raligh Hibbard.
