Mrs. Ruth Evelyn (Deckard) Osborn, age 91, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on January 6, 1926, in Knox County, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Isaac and Sarah C. (Jaynes) Deckard. She was raised in Vincennes, Indiana where she was a 1943 graduate of the Vincennes High School. After high school, Ruth resided in the Indianapolis community and was united in marriage on June 2, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to William Earl Nail, Sr. and to this union arrived five children to bless their home. Ruth was later united in marriage on August 25, 1973, in Vevay, Indiana, to Nathan M. Osborn. Ruth was employed for William E. Nail Plumbing in Lawrence, Indiana and later for Internal Revenue Services as an auditor. Ruth had resided in the Vevay community since 1969. She was a member of the Switzerland County Community Church in Vevay, Indiana. Ruth will be remembered for her love of gardening, baking and traveling. Ruth passed away at 12:55 am, Sunday, August 27, 2017, at her residence in Vevay, Indiana.

Ruth will be missed by her son: Paul David Nail and his wife: Kelly of Gibsonia, PA; her daughters: Inez "Kay" Love and her husband: Thomas of Lawton, OK; Carol Horn and her husband: Randy of St. Peters, MO; her son-in-law: Theodore "Ted" Rodman, Jr. of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren: Theresa Milligan, Angela Holtswarth, Carrie Barwick, Jobi Stewart, Bill Nail, Joshua Nail, Millie Balistreri, Natalie Fisher and Nathan Nail; her 13-great-grandchildren; her several step-grandchildren and her several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Isaac and Sarah C. (Jaynes) Deckard; her 1st husband: William Earl Nail, Sr.; her 2nd husband: Nathan M. Osborn; her son: William Earl "Bill" Nail, Jr., died June 16, 2008; her daughter: Evelyn Lee (Nail) Rodman, died June 23, 2015; her step-son: William H. Wilson; her brothers: Grant, Thomas, Alva, Loren, Gale and Paul Deckard and her sisters: Edith Pirtle, Lila Wesley, Vivian Paul and Oma Horrall.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at 1:00 pm, by Rev. Charles Dayadharum at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
