Mrs. Geneva Louise (Monroe) Scotti, age 96, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on August 16, 1921, in Switzerland County, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Harry and Nell (Croxton) Monroe. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1939 graduate of the Vevay High School. Geneva was united in marriage on March 9, 1946, to Charles Robert Leap and to this union arrived a son, John Charles and a daughter, Saundra Kay to bless their home. Geneva was later united in marriage in 1963 to Anthony R. "Tony" Scotti and they were blessed with a daughter, Tonia Lee. She was an inker for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, retiring in 1985, after 27 years of service. Geneva was a member of the Ruter Chapel United Methodist Church in Vevay, Indiana, where she was the church pianist. She was also a member of the Vevay Music Club and resided her entire life in the Switzerland County community. Geneva will be remembered for her love of sewing, music and her family. Geneva passed away at 12:45 am, Monday, October 2, 2017, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Geneva will be deeply missed by her son, John Charles Leap and his wife: Tootie of Vevay, IN; her daughters, Saundra Kay Adams and her husband: Kenneth of Bennington, IN and Tonia Lee Smith and her husband: Roger of Bennington, IN; her grandchildren, Charles Anthony Leap, Billy Jo Leap, Shane Adams, Crystala Adams, Ashlee Dawn Goins, Boyd Scotti Smith, Hailee Renee Otter, Trevor Michael Smith, Kristy Smith, Robert Kindle, Angela Brockman and Jerry Girton; her great-grandchildren, Jacob Leap, Justin Leap, Owen Leap, Leeland Goins, Kenadie Knapp, Hayden Smith, Paxton Smith, Oaklyn Otter, Kainen Smith and Anna Andrews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Nell (Croxton) Monroe; her 1st husband, Charles Robert Leap, died August 16, 1980; her 2nd husband, Anthony R. "Tony" Scotti, died June 25, 1997; her step-mother, Helen Monroe; her step-father, Jess Le Clerc; her daughter-in-law, Delores A. "Sissy" Jones Leap, died in 2000 and her great-granddaughter, Bailee Jean Smith, died March 12, 2015.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 5, 2017, at 10:30 am, by Pastor Sandy Marlin, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
