Mr. Robert D. "Bob" Lamson, age 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana, entered this life on April 1, 1931, in Madison, Indiana, the loving son of the late, Harry Dupraz and Lucille "Sis" (Haskell) Lamson. He was raised in Vevay, Indiana where he was a 1949 graduate of the Vevay High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree in education in 1956 and later received his Master's Degree in education from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bob was inducted into the United States Army on December 1, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana, serving during the Korean War. He received the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany) and the National Defense Service Medal. Bob was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant on November 10, 1954, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Bob was united in marriage on July 2, 1953 at the Ruter Chapel United Methodist Church in Vevay, Indiana, to Roberta J. Dickason and to this union arrived a son, Michael and a daughter, Lee Ann to bless their home. Bob and Roberta shared over 64 years of marriage together until his death. Bob was a former 5th Grade Teacher for Harrison Hill Elementary School in Indianapolis, Indiana, retiring in 1991, after 33 years of service. He was also a former Principal for Skiles Test Elementary School in Indianapolis, Indiana, for two years. He was a former driver for Berkshire Retirement Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, for 20 years. Bob was a member of the Bennington Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 407, Oakland Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 159, Oakland Masonic Lodge #140 F&AM, Phi Delta Theta Fraternity at Butler University, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Coyote Club of Indianapolis, Indiana State Retired Teacher's Association and the Vevay American Legion Post #185. He was a member of the Lawrence United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bob enjoyed reading, golfing and playing cards. Bob will be deeply missed by his loving family and abundance of friends. Bob passed away at 9:20 am, Tuesday October 3, 2017, at the Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bob will be dearly missed by his loving wife of over 64 years, Roberta J. (Dickason) Lamson of Indianapolis, IN; his daughter, Lee Ann Richardson of Monrovia, IN; his son, Michael Wayne Lamson of Vevay, IN; his grandchildren, Dana Jessee, Robert Lamson and his wife: Rachel, Laura McKinney and her husband: Jack and Holly Wodtke and her husband: Jayson; his great-grandchildren, Luke Jessee, Levi Jessee, Mikey McKinney and Gabe McKinney; his brothers-in-law, Harold Dickason and his wife: Mary Ann of Indianapolis, IN and William Lee "Bill" Konkle of Vevay, IN and his several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Dupraz Lamson, died August 10, 1999 and Lucille "Sis" (Haskell) Lamson, died December 18, 2002; his brothers, William Nelson Lamson, died March 17, 1930 and John Michael "Mickey" Lamson, died December 29, 1970 and his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Konkle, died July 1, 2011.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 1:00 pm, by Pastor Joseph Johnson at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
