Life Story for Gary Randall "Randy" Knott

Mr. Gary Randall "Randy" Knott, age 66, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on May 7, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late, Earl G. and Joyce Jean (Padgett) Knott. He was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he was a 1969 graduate of the Southport High School. He attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, for two years. Randy was employed in management in the produce and meat department for 14 different Kroger Stores. He was a former Iron Worker for Union Local No.22 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Randy was a former salesman for Dr. Dish Satellite in Vevay, Indiana, for 10 years. He was employed for Belterra Casino Resort & Spa as a slot attendant in Florence, Indiana, until he became disabled. Randy resided in the Vevay community since 1988, where he made and maintained many friendships. He was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, Son's of the Vevay American Legion Post #185, the Son's of the Vevay VFW Post #5396, the Humane Society and the Disabled American Veterans. Randy will be remembered for his love of the Cincinnati Reds, the Indianapolis Colts and collecting sports memorabilia. Randy passed away at 2:40 am, Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Randy will be missed by his brothers, Steve Knott and his wife: Dixie of Greenwood, IN and Keith Knott and his wife: Robin of TN; his nephews, Michael and Evan and his abundance of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl G. and Joyce Jean (Padgett) Knott.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 1:00 pm, by Rev. Mike Jones at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
