Mrs. Wilma May (Koons) Lyon, age 86, of Pleasant, Indiana, entered this life on March 26, 1931, in Moorefield, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Floyd Easlyee and Nellie Elizabeth (Reed) Koons. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1949 graduate of the Vevay High School. Wilma was united in marriage on January 7, 1950, in Madison, Indiana, to the late, Lowell Worth Lyon and to this union arrived two daughters, Sue and Londa, an adopted daughter, Brooke and three sons, Russell, Mike and Jerry to bless their home. Wilma and Lowell shared nearly 44 years of marriage together until Lowell passed away on October 26, 1994. Wilma was a former medical assistant for King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. She was formerly employed in customer service in the clothing department for Wal-Mart in Madison, Indiana. She was a former employee for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay and Osgood, Indiana and for Seagram's Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Wilma was also a former clerk for the Clifty Falls State Park in Madison, Indiana. She was raised in the Fairview United Methodist Church and was a member of the Aberdeen United Methodist Church. Wilma enjoyed boating, fishing, playing cards, watching Indiana University and the Cincinnati Red's, but most of all, taking care of her family. Wilma passed away at 5:25 pm, Sunday November 5, 2017, at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Wilma will be deeply missed by her daughters, Sue Tinker of Pleasant, IN and Brooke Scharlau and her husband: Kevin of Madison, IN; her sons, Russell Lyon and his wife: Susan of Vevay, IN, Mike Lyon of Vevay, IN and Jerry Lyon and his wife: Regina of Madison, IN; her grandchildren, Angela, Michelle, Jeff, Jason, Chad, Mark, Eric, Brandon, Alexis, Teralyn and Lauryn; her great-grandchildren, Brittany, Jessilyn, Courtney, Joshua, Taylor, Bayleigh, Abby, Courtney, Caley, Caleb, Brok, Cheyenne, Taylor, Tyler, Krystal, Katlyn, Kasey, Kassidy, Logan, Ty and Hayden; her great-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Braelyn, Kaybree, Mackie, Bryson, Maci, Adlynn, Zoe, Miyah and Ariah; her sister, Londalee Burger of Cincinnati, OH; her nieces, Jennifer Boles and Jill Barnes and her husband: Jeff.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Easlyee and Nellie Elizabeth (Reed) Koons; her husband, Lowell Worth Lyon, died October 26, 1994; her daughter, Londa Yvonne Stoops, died October 26, 1984; her daughter-in-law, Tricia M. Lyon, died April 4, 2013; her son-in-law, Robert Lee "Pee Wee" Tinker, died February 15, 2011; her granddaughter, Traci Lee Sams, died August 30, 2003; her paternal-grandmother, Myrtle Koons; her brother-in-law, Marvin W. Burger, died September 19, 2016 and her aunt, Hazel Henry.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 10, 2017, at 1:00 pm, by Pastor Chris Clemans, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery, Patriot, Indiana.
