Life Story for Kathryn Elizabeth Castle (Beany)

Mrs. Kathryn Elizabeth (Beany) Castle, age 72, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on October 3, 1945, in Steubenville, Ohio, the loving daughter of the late, Russell Dobson and Lenora Elizabeth (Somerville) Beany. She was raised in Richmond, Ohio and was a 1963 graduate of the Jefferson Union High School. Kathryn was united in marriage on July 3, 1965, in Richmond, Ohio, to the late, Lester Martin Castle and to this union arrived a daughter, Stephanie and four sons, Deron, Eric, Stephen and Christopher to bless their home. Kathryn and Lester shared 48 years of marriage together until he passed away on June 20, 2013. Kathryn was a former Register Nurse for Steuben Estates in Steubenville, Ohio. She attended the Aberdeen United Methodist Church. Kathryn was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kathryn passed away at 7:45 pm, Sunday, November 5, 2017, at her residence in Vevay, Indiana.

Kathryn will be missed by her daughter, Stephanie Hood and her husband: John of Vevay, IN; her sons, Deron Martin Castle of Carrollton, OH, Eric Lynn Castle and his companion: Brandy of Sparta, KY, Stephen Edwin Castle of Osgood, IN and Christopher Allen Castle and his companion: Amanda of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren, Chelsye, Deron Jr., Eric, Colton, Corey, Cierra, Aden, John Dobson, Cora, Bailey, Kirra, Kayleigh and Khloe; her great-grandchildren, Ayra, Ashlyn, Sophie, Grayson, Milo and Haven; her brother, Tom Beany and his wife: Claire of Steubenville, OH; her sisters, Judy Lucas of Toledo, OH and Dottie Hilton and her husband: Tom of Spartanburg, SC and her several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Dobson and Lenora Elizabeth (Somerville) Beany and her husband, Lester Martin Castle, died June 20, 2013.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at the residence of Stephanie Hood, 5606 State Road 250, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Advocacy Center of the South Eastern, Indiana, Keeping Pace Cancer Fund % CFSCI, or Hospice of King's Daughters' Hospital. Cards are available at the funeral home.
