Mrs. Beulah (Smith) Herald, age 77, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on December 22, 1939, in Booneville, Kentucky, the loving daughter of the late, Ike and Jalie (Gabbard) Smith. She was raised in Booneville, Kentucky where she attended school. Beulah was united in marriage to Harvey Herald. Beulah was a wonderful homemaker and caregiver all of her life. She resided most of her life in the Booneville, Kentucky community, the past seven years in Switzerland County, Indiana and in Aurora, Indiana for two years. She was a member of a Baptist church in Owsley County, Kentucky and Fairview Baptist Church in Switzerland County, Indiana. Beulah will be remembered for her love of sewing, reading, her flowers and taking care of the elderly. Beulah passed away at 9:15 pm, Thursday, December 14, 2017, at the Swiss Villa Living Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Beulah will be missed by her sisters, Myrtle Chandler-Butler of Fairview, IN and Dorothy Leibecke of Aurora, IN and her several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Jalie (Gabbard) Smith; her husband, Harvey Herald, died in 1973; her niece, Tracy Lynn York, died August 11, 2012 and her brothers, Kelly and Willard Smith.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday, December 18, 2017, at 1:00 pm, by Bro. Hobert Byrd at the Cow Creek Cemetery, Booneville, Kentucky.
