Life Story for Delbert Jay Miller

Delbert Jay Miller
Bro. Delbert Jay Miller, age 16, of Bennington, Indiana, entered this life on January 11, 2001, in Urbana, Illinois, the loving son of, Joseph Lynn and Dena Ann (Herschberger) Miller. He was attending the Evening Light Christian School in Bennington, Indiana, where he was in the 11th grade. Bro. Delbert was employed with his father's business, Milbon Contractors for the past six months. He resided in the Arthur, Illinois community and in the Switzerland County community since August 2008. Bro. Delbert was a member of the Church of God in Bennington, Indiana. Bro. Delbert enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be deeply missed by his loving family, his church family and friends. In the early morning at 1:27 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017, our young, fellow saint and soldier Brother Delbert Jay Miller was taken from this world by a car accident on State Road 129 at State Road 62 and lifted into that world where there is neither accident nor dying. Our Brother escaped the corruption that is in this present world by the resurrection power of the blood of Jesus Christ in the year of 2011 and was at that moment inducted into the fellowship of the one, holy remnant. Brother Delbert lived so that he gained testimony that he was an unselfish, solid, and radical Christian. He stated in his last testimony while yet with us, that he "never will cease to love him." He now joins the millions of the forever safe Christians of all ages.

Bro. Delbert leaves behind to greet him again at the great judgement day his loving parents, Joseph Lynn and Dena Ann (Herschberger) Miller of Bennington, IN; his siblings, Verna Kay Miller, Dale Ray Miller, Judy Ranae Miller, Jolena Faye Miller, Caleb Eugene Miller, Dean Ryan Miller and Joshua David Miller all of Bennington, IN; his paternal grandparents, Gary and Verna Miller of Arthur, IL; his maternal grandparents, Andy Ray and Ada Fern Herschberger of Windsor, MO; his paternal-great-grandmother, Mary Ann Mast of Arthur, IL and his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Herschberger.
