Life Story for Forrest Daniel "Frosty" Robinson

Forrest Daniel "Frosty"  Robinson
Mr. Forrest Daniel "Frosty" Robinson, age 84, of Bennington, Indiana, entered this life on July 23, 1933, in Cordova, Kentucky, the son of the late, Buford Robinson and Dorothy (Jacobs) Robinson-Creech. He was inducted into the United States Army on May 12, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Frosty earned the Army of Occupation of Germany Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist 5th Class on April 26, 1956, at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Forrest was united in marriage on August 16, 1954, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late, Ivy Lee Bright. He was employed for Randall's Textron in Vevay, Indiana, for 10 years and for Whitney Chair Factory in Rising Sun, Indiana. Frosty was a self-employed mechanic most of his life and was employed as a mechanic for Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. Forrest enjoyed sitting on his front porch and waving at everyone that drove by. He also enjoyed driving through the country side with his good friend, Earl Morris and his companion: Kathy Scudder. Most everyone that knew Forrest knew not to ask him what he thought because he would sure tell you whether you liked it or not! Sometimes you didn't even ask and he would still tell you! Forrest always spoke his mind and will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. Forrest entered into rest at 4:09 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2018, at his residence in Bennington, Indiana.

Forrest will be missed by his companion, Kathy Scudder of Vevay, IN; his daughters, Barbara Burkman and her husband: Mike of Scipio, IN and Edie Drager and her husband: Wes of Mason, OH; his sons, Danny Robinson and his wife: Tanya of Morrow, OH and Walter Robinson of New Caney, TX; his 24-grandchildren and 15-great-grandchildren and his sister, Mary Whitehead and her husband: Jack of Humble, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford Robinson and Dorothy (Jacobs) Robinson-Creech; his son, Loyd Lee Robinson, died March 30, 2016; his grandchildren, Christina Ryker and Bradley Robinson; his sisters, Bertha May Robinson and Ramana Robinson and his brothers, Leslie, Gilbert, Wayne and Leroy Robinson.

Full military rites and interment will be conducted on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at 1:00 pm, by the Honor Guard of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 & the Vevay VFW Post #5396 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road Madison, Indiana 47250.
