Life Story for Jacob S. Schwartz

Mr. Jacob S. Schwartz, age 95, of Vevay, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1:58 a.m. at the home of his son, Levi L. Schwartz. He was born September 17, 1922 in Berne, Indiana, to Samuel and Elizabeth (Schwartz) Schwartz. Jacob was raised in Berne, Indiana where he attended school. Jacob farmed all of his life and resided in Glasgow, Kentucky and Vevay, Indiana.

Jacob is survived by his sons, Levi L. Schwartz and his wife: Martha of Vevay, Indiana, Samuel Schwartz and his wife: Lavina of Glasgow, Kentucky, Jake Schwartz and his wife: Rachel of Wilton, Wisconsin, Noah Schwartz and his wife: Fannie of Glasgow, Kentucky and Daniel Schwartz and his wife: Elizabeth of Glasgow, Kentucky; his daughters, Emma Lee of Bowling Green, Missouri, Elizabeth Eicher and her husband: Eli of Canton, Missouri, Elma Kemp and her husband: Jake of Summer Shade, Kentucky and Anna Schrock and her husband: Alvin of Stanberry, Missouri; his daughter-in-law, Lovina Schwartz of Hardyville, Kentucky; his 94-grandchildren; his 483-great-grandchildren; 38-great-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Verena Schwartz of Bowling Green, Missouri, Barbara Yoder and her husband: Eli of Ft. Scott, Kansas, Caroline Borntrager and her husband: Rudy of Bowling Green, Missouri and his numerous nieces, nephews and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Elizabeth (Schwartz) Schwartz; his wife, Lydia (Hilty) Schwartz; his sons, Reuben and Pete Schwartz; his 7-grandchildren; his 5-great-grandchildren; his 3-brothers and 4-sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 9:00 am central time, 1860 Payne Mill Road Glasgow, Kentucky 42141.

Interment will follow in the Old Order Amish Cemetery in Glasgow, Kentucky.
