Mr. Clifford Swango, Jr., age 82, of Vevay, Indiana, was one of ten children born on August 29, 1935, to the parents of, Clifford Sr. and Lula Elizabeth (Brown) Swango. He resided all of his life in the Switzerland County community where he attended school. Clifford was united in marriage on July 4, 1954, in Vevay, Indiana, to Grace Elizabeth "Libby" Beatty and to this union arrived two sons, Steve and Jeff and a daughter, Brenda to bless their home. Clifford and Libby shared 60 years of marriage together until she passed away on December 16, 2014. Clifford was a former employee for Roberts Grocery Store in Vevay, Indiana and for Gateway Grocery Store in Madison, Indiana, for two years. He was employed as a meat cutter for the Vevay IGA, retiring after 30 years of service. Clifford enjoyed rabbit and squirrel hunting and was an avid wood whittler. Clifford passed away at 5:50 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Clifford is survived by his sons, Steve Swango and his wife: Linda of Vevay, IN and Jeff Swango of Vevay, IN; his daughter, Brenda Boyd of Bancroft, MI; his grandchildren, Chandell, Kara, Lewis, Jessica, Clint, Serena and Audrey; his great-grandchildren, Emmalee Michelle, William Ronald and Victor; his sisters, Helen Peelman of Vevay, IN and Patty Christian of Pleasant, IN; his brother, Larry Swango of Vevay, IN and his several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford, Sr., died January 18, 1969 and Lula Elizabeth (Brown) Swango, died July 27, 1996; his wife, Grace Elizabeth "Libby" (Beatty) Swango, died December 16, 2014; his sisters, Linda Lou Snyder, Dorothy Louise Osborn, Mary T. Peelman, Clara L. Dunning, Frances L. Osborn and Juanita P. Scudder.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 11:00 am, by Pastor KC Banta, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison, Indiana.
