Mr. Christopher Lynn "CJ" McAlister, Jr., age 29, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on November 23, 1988, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the loving son of, Christopher Lynn "Chris" and Tammie Mae (McKinley) McAlister. He was raised in Vevay, Indiana and was a 2008 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. CJ was united in marriage on May 26, 2015, on Plum Creek, to the love of his life, Nicole Michelle Tatum. CJ was employed for North American Stainless in Ghent, Kentucky, for one year and for Dorman Products in Warsaw, Kentucky as a machine material handler, for two years. CJ was currently employed as a surveillance agent for Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence, Indiana, for three years. You would often see CJ reading books about his surveillance job that he was very proud of. CJ enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, painting and spending time with his kids. CJ will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. CJ passed away at 3:20 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, on Plum Creek in Vevay, Indiana.

CJ is survived by his loving wife, Nicole Michelle (Tatum) McAlister of Vevay, IN; his children, Noah Anthony McAlister, Maya Marie McAlister, Zeyla Grace Tatum and Dylan Michael McKinley all of Vevay, IN; his mother, Tammie Mae (McKinley) McAlister of Vevay, IN; his mother-in-law, Wauneta Grace Armstrong of Vevay, IN; his paternal-grandmother, Debra Lee (McAlister) Hite of Vevay, IN; his maternal-grandfather, Steve McKinley of Aberdeen, IN; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Stori and Tyler Roy of Franklin, IN, Sean and Kylie Tatum of Indianapolis, IN and Isiah and Katie Tatum of Noblesville, IN and his several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Lynn "Chris" McAlister, Sr., died March 14, 2010; his paternal-grandfather, Charles Edward Hite; his maternal-grandmother, Brenda Carol (Gulley) McKinley; his paternal-great-grandparents, James Earl and Catherine Lee (Dixon) Hite and his cousin, Daulton O'Daniel Hite.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
