Life Story for Earnest Lee Henry

Earnest Lee  Henry
Mr. Earnest Lee "Conway Twitty" Henry, Sr., age 76, of Aberdeen, Indiana, entered this life on September 29, 1941, in Ohio County, Indiana, the son of the late, Everett and Anna Pearl (Eaglin) Henry. He was raised in Ohio County, Indiana where he attended school. Earnest was united in marriage on July 11, 1987, in Patriot, Indiana, to Betty Ann Sigmon. Earnest and Betty shared nearly 31 years of marriage together until his death. He was employed for the Cincinnati Airport as a janitor, retiring in 2003, after 17 years of service and was also employed for Harold Hayes Garage in Aberdeen, Indiana. Earnest resided since 1987 in the Aberdeen community. He was a member of the Fredonia Baptist Church in Vevay, Indiana, where he enjoyed attending the brotherhood breakfast meetings once a month. Earnest enjoyed autobody work and farming and will be remembered for his love of gardening. Earnest passed away at 4:15 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Earnest will be deeply missed by his wife, Betty Ann (Sigmon) Henry of Aberdeen, IN; his son, Nelson Henry of Fresno, CA; his daughters, Melissa Minge and her husband: Tom of Viola, AR, Amanda Higham and her husband: Rick of Hanover, IN and Angel Haynes and her husband: Jeremiah of Vevay, IN; his step-daughters, Joyce Theetge and her husband: Ernie of Aberdeen, IN and Michelle Smith and her husband: Glenn of Milton, KY; his step-sons, Doug Henry and his wife: Marea of Aberdeen, IN, Tim Henry and his wife: Renee of Aberdeen, IN, Scott Henry and his wife: Dora of Aberdeen, IN, Paul "Pete" Hopper, Jr. of Austin, IN and Jeff Hopper of Hanover, IN; his 16-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; his several-step-grandchildren and his step-great-grandchildren; his brother, James David "Jim" Henry of Aberdeen, IN and his several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Anna Pearl (Eaglin) Henry; his son, Earnest Lee Henry, Jr.; his daughter, Enda Janelle Henry; his sister, Helen Gulley; his brother, Everett Henry, Jr. and his sister, Elizabeth Henry.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., by Rev. Wayne Daugherty and Rev. Rick Daugherty at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Aberdeen, Indiana.
