Life Story for
Karen Coy (Trimnell)
Mrs. Karen Lou (Trimnell) Coy, age 75, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on September 15, 1942, in Connersville, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Ora A. and Virginia "Marie" (Craig) Trimnell. Karen Lou was raised in Connersville, Indiana and Lawrenceburg, Indiana and was a graduate of the Lawrenceburg High School. Karen Lou was united in marriage on December 9, 1957, to the late, Denver Nolan Coy. This union was blessed with a son, Denver and two daughters, Deborah and Sherry. Karen Lou and Denver shared nearly 61 years of marriage together until Denver passed away on March 31, 2018. She was employed as an EMT in East Enterprise, Indiana and was also employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, for 11 years. She was a realtor for Century 21 and for Foxfire Realty in Florida and enjoyed helping Denver on the family farm. Karen Lou resided with her family for 18 years in Florida and for the past several years in Switzerland County. Karen Lou was a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton, Kentucky. Karen Lou passed away at 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018, at the Waters of Dillsboro in Dillsboro, Indiana.
Karen Lou is survived by her cousin and caregiver, Ben Lattire and his wife: Cindy of Florence, IN; her nieces and nephews, Dennis Coy, Jeffery Coy, Roberta Coy, Pam Coy, Brian Coy, Brian Coy, Shyla Trimnell, James Trimnell, Edward P. Trimnell, Mary Jane Stogsdill, Julie Coy and Jennifer Coy; her brother, Edward Trimnell of Cincinnati, OH and her sister-in-law, Blanche Schmidt and her husband: Thom of Aurora, IN
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora A. and Virginia "Marie" (Craig) Trimnell; her husband, Denver Nolan Coy, died March 31, 2018; her son, Denver Allen Coy, died February 7, 1962; her daughters, Deborah Kay Coy, died March 15, 1960 and Sherry Ann Coy, died July 4, 2018; her brother, Jon C. Trimnell; her nephew, Robert Gene Coy, died November 28, 1984 and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin "Dutch" and Helen (Bennett) Coy.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Pat Butcher at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
