Life Story for Norris Wayne Lauderbaugh

Norris Wayne  Lauderbaugh
Mr. Norris Wayne Lauderbaugh, son of Marcus “Bob” and Helen Estelle (Roberts) Lauderbaugh went to be with the Lord on September 6th, 2018 at the age of 82. Norris was born in Moorefield, Indiana on October 30th, 1935. He was a 1953 graduate of Vevay High School and later, a graduate of Anderson Vocational Technical School, where he obtained his diploma in plumbing and pipefitting. Norris operated Lauderbaugh Quality Plumbing for nearly 50 years in Anderson, Indiana and surrounding communities, all while working for Delco Remy (Plants 3, 7, and 11) as a pipefitter. After 38 years of employment with General Motors, he retired but continued to work the plumbing and backhoe business. Norris was a member of Braytown Christian Church and Daleville Christian Church. He was inducted into the United States Army on October 14, 1961, in Anderson, Indiana, serving during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist 4th Class on August 2, 1962, in Fort Riley, Kansas. Norris was a member of the Daleville American Legion Post #446. He was also a member of the Switzerland Masonic Lodge No. 122 F&AM for over 50 years. Norris spent the past 23 years of his life busy enjoying the daily activities of his granddaughter, Katie Jo.

Norris will be sadly missed by his daughter, Nila Jean Robinson and her husband: Fritz of Daleville, IN; his granddaughter, Katie Jo Robinson of Daleville, IN as well as their dog, August "Auggie Dog"; his brother, Louis Lauderbaugh and his wife: Norma of Crawfordsville, IN; his brother-in-law, James Irvin "Nub" Scott of Moorefield, IN; his special cousin, Lois Fothergill of Atlanta, GA and his several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus "Bob" and Helen Estelle (Roberts) Lauderbaugh and his sister, Linda lee (Lauderbaugh) Scott.

Friends may call 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Masonic Service and Funeral Service will be conducted Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Full military rites will be conducted by the Honor Guard of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 and the Vevay VFW Post #5396 at the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
