Life Story for Frances L. (Swango) Osborn

Frances L. (Swango)  Osborn
Mrs. Frances L. (Swango) Osborn, age 84, of Fairborn, Ohio, formerly of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on August 14, 1928, in Switzerland County, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Clifford & Lula Elizabeth (Brown) Swango. Frances was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana, where she attended school. Frances was united in marriage on January 19, 1946, in Switzerland County, Indiana, to Robert Thomas "Bob" Osborn & to this union arrived one son, one daughter & one adopted son to bless their home. Frances & Bob shared nearly 48 years of marriage together until his death on December 4, 1994. For many years, Frances sent greeting cards, bulletins & letters to shut-in members for the Switzerland Baptist Church in Vevay, Indiana. Frances contributed to a family in a Leprosy Colony in the Philippines, for several years. She was a member of the TOPS Club Incorporated at the Switzerland Baptist Church, where she was awarded for losing the most weight within the state of Indiana. Frances resided the past few years in Fairborn, Ohio. Frances will be remembered for her love of crocheting, playing Yahtzee, her family & church. She was a loving mother, grandmother & sister. Frances died at 8:20 pm, Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Patriot Ridge Community Care Center in Fairborn, Ohio.

Frances will be missed by her son: Gary Eugene Osborn & his wife: Persida of Fairborn, OH; her daughter: Martha Jane Addis of North Vernon, IN; her adopted-son: Timothy Gordon Osborn of Florence, KY; her 9-grandchildren: Claire Osborn White, Jessica Osborn Knisley, Rhonda Reinartz, John David Addis, Amanda Addis, Amber Geisler, Michael Osborn, Annie Osborn & Parker Osborn; her 9-great-grandchildren: Malakai White, Sebastian White, Aiden Knisley, Clay Geisler, Weaver Geisler, Macy Addis, Zoey Addis, Kenny Reinartz & Charles David Addis; her 3-sisters: Helen Peelman of Vevay, IN; Patty Christian of Canaan, IN; Juanita Scudder of Pleasant, IN; her 2-brothers: Larry Swango of Vevay, IN; Clifford Swango of Vevay, IN; her several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clifford & Lula Elizabeth (Brown) Swango; her husband: Robert Thomas "Bob" Osborn; her 4-sisters: Linda Lou Snyder, Dorothy Louise Osborn, Mary T. Peelman & Clara L. Dunning.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 2:00 pm, by Rev. Howard Wade, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043. Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana

Friends may call 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
