My Great Aunt Peggy

Growing up, my Great Aunt Peggy was always considered the "crazy cat lady". While she only had one Siamese cat at a time, her house was filled with cat decor and wall to wall cat pictures. As a kid, my mind was blown by her overwhelming love for cats and to me that was pretty cool! Every year at Christmas and my birthday I would get a cat-themed card with a kitty cat bookmark signed, "Aunt Peggy and Hope" (her cat at the time) and it always made me smile.

Peggy, also known as Miss Kitty, was an inspiration to many. She taught for 38 years at a school in Indiana and was well loved by all her students and all the lives she touched.

While Peggy was a somewhat wacky woman, it was her unique weirdness that I think made so many people love her! The world has lost an amazing woman and the cats have lost an advocate. Though the loss is hard and came much too soon, I find great comfort in knowing that Peggy has been reunited with Hope at the Rainbow Bridge. She's probably loving on all the other adorable cats that are hanging out waiting for their people to come join them!

We will miss you Peggy!
