Mrs. Carol Kathleen "Nana" (Piotroski) Oder, age 75, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on September 7, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the loving daughter of the late, Emil and Florella (Fagin) Piotroski. She was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she attended school. Carol was united in marriage on February 23, 1957, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to Elmer Leon "Papa" Oder and to this union arrived two sons, Elmer Leon, Jr. and Douglas Lee and two daughters, Michele and Cherie to bless their home. Carol and Elmer shared 53 years of marriage together until Elmer passed away on December 8, 2010. Carol was a former Lieutenant for a private law enforcement agency in Cincinnati, Ohio, for 2 years. Carol was a member of the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay, Indiana, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and prayed the rosary. She resided in the Switzerland County community since 1985. Carol was a Cub Scout Leader and was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed going to church, writing and writing poems. She was a wonderful Nana and will be deeply missed by her loving family. Nana passed away at 4:38 am, Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at her residence in Vevay, Indiana.

Nana will be deeply missed by her daughters: Michele Ann Wuebbing and her husband: Tom of Cincinnati, OH and Cherie Lynn Schoonover of Vevay, IN; her son: Douglas Lee Oder of Cincinnati, OH; her son-in-law: Tim Schoonover of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren: Elmer III., Danny, Kathleen, Kimberly, Amanda, Brittany, Joshua, Jeremy, Jake, Timmy and Heather; her great-grandchildren: Sophia, Julia, Gabriella, Bentley, Jaxon, Timmy, Brock, Alexis, Mariah, Ethan, Drake, Arya, Brook and Jonathan and her brother: Donald Piotroski of Cincinnati, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Emil and Florella (Fagin) Piotroski; her husband: Elmer Leon "Papa" Oder, Sr. died, December 8, 2010; her son: Elmer Leon Oder, Jr., died May 1, 2007 and her daughter-in-law: Pat Oder, died October 21, 2016.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, February 10, 2017, at the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church, North Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
